If you apply for the grant yourself it is usually paid once the home has been completed, and if your lender applies for the grant it is usually processed once your concrete slab has been laid.

Can my land and home be financed in the one loan?
Answer
Yes. Most lenders will allow you to have one loan for both your land and home, as long as you are able to meet the finance clause in your land contract. This means your lender must have a fixed price for your home and land to perform a valuation on both within the finance clause (usually 21 days).
